1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website and using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Services Provided

EICR Services provides professional electrical services including:

  • Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR)
  • Electrical installations and upgrades
  • Fault finding and repairs
  • Consumer unit replacements
  • Other electrical services as advertised

All work is carried out by NICEIC certified electricians in accordance with BS 7671 regulations and Building Regulations Part P.

3. Booking and Quotations

Quotes

All quotes provided are estimates based on the information provided. Final costs may vary if additional work is required or if site conditions differ from what was described.

Booking

Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of any required deposit and agreement to these terms. We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.

Cancellations

  • Cancellations with 48 hours notice: Full refund of any deposit
  • Cancellations within 48 hours: 50% cancellation fee
  • Cancellations within 24 hours: Full cancellation fee

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed
  • We accept cash, bank transfer, and major credit/debit cards
  • For larger projects, staged payments may be required
  • Late payment may incur interest charges
  • Certificates will only be issued once full payment is received

5. Access and Site Conditions

You agree to:

  • Provide safe access to all areas requiring work
  • Ensure someone over 18 is present during the work
  • Inform us of any known hazards (asbestos, structural issues, etc.)
  • Provide accurate information about the property and electrical system
  • Allow reasonable time for completion of work

6. Our Responsibilities

We commit to:

  • Carry out work to BS 7671 standards
  • Use qualified, insured electricians
  • Provide appropriate certification for work completed
  • Notify Building Control where required
  • Work in a professional and safe manner
  • Clean up after completing work
  • Maintain public liability insurance (£5 million)

7. Warranties and Guarantees

All workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion date. This guarantee covers:

  • Defects in workmanship
  • Faulty materials supplied by us
  • Issues arising from our installation work

The guarantee does not cover:

  • Damage caused by third parties
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Misuse or unauthorized modifications
  • Pre-existing faults not addressed in our work

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • Our liability is limited to the value of the work performed
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
  • We are not responsible for damage to concealed pipes, cables, or structures not visible during normal work
  • Our public liability insurance covers claims up to £5 million

9. EICR Specific Terms

Scope of Inspection

EICR inspections cover accessible electrical installations only. We cannot inspect concealed wiring or areas we cannot safely access.

Failed Inspections

If your property fails the EICR, we will provide a detailed report with recommendations. Certificates are only issued when all C1 and C2 issues are resolved or when the property passes inspection.

Remedial Work

We can quote for any remedial work required. You are not obligated to use our services for repairs, but work must be completed by a qualified electrician before a satisfactory certificate can be issued.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and design, is owned by EICR Services or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

11. Complaints and Disputes

If you are unhappy with our service:

  1. Contact us immediately to discuss the issue
  2. We will investigate and respond within 7 working days
  3. If unresolved, you may escalate to our NICEIC membership
  4. Disputes may be referred to mediation or arbitration

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, or material shortages.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
